Secretary of State Pleased with Federal Court Ruling on Voter ID Laws

A federal appeals court has blocked a new North Carolina law requiring voters to show ID at the polls.  California's Secretary of State is pleased with the decision. Friday's ruling prevents North Carolina officials from requiring picture ID from voters and ensures the continuation of same-day registration and out-of-precinct voting. California Secretary of State Alex Padilla calls the ruling "a big win for voting rights." Read full article.
