California elections officials warn of 'surge' for June 7 primary

California elections officials are anticipating a surge in voter turnout for the June 7 presidential primary election. More than 600,000 Californians have registered to vote online or updated their registration in just the last three months, and county election agencies may be overwhelmed by the volume of people who show up, Secretary of State Alex Padilla warned Gov.
